Hello Mia, My name is Wendy. While I'm not a licensed or educated "teacher," If you've not found an actual teacher you're comfortable with yet, I'd like to chat and see if I can help. Depending on their age, we may have success. On top of raising my own kids, I've spent the last 8+ years caring for and doing "Mimis summer school" with my 11 yr old Autistic grandson. 5 days a week, 3+ hours a day.. Their little minds need to stay working. My experience is that the long summer months drain way too much knowledge if not messaged throughout the year. Kids are for sure resilient. But their natural instincts are to "push mom" as far as possible. But if one has earned their trust, they like you, then the respect builds, making the teaching come much, much easier.
