About Weimo

Hi! I'm a bilingual English-Mandarin educator with 20+ years of paid teaching experience, from one-on-one tutoring to small groups and classrooms. I hold a B. A. in Applied Psychology and an M. Sc. in Counselling & Psychotherapy. I'm also a mom of two boys and serve as the Ministry Director at a local Chinese church. I offer English and Mandarin tutoring. For Chinese-speaking children adjusting to U. S. schools, I can combine English support with Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), helping them express feelings and needs, make friends, ask for help, handle disagreements, and communicate confidently at school. I also teach Mandarin to English-dominant and bilingual children, from conversation and reading to storytelling and deeper expression. My goal is to help children use Chinese to express real thoughts, emotions, and needs--and communicate more meaningfully with Chinese-speaking family members.
