About Vivienne

Hi, my name is Vivienne and I am a retired elementary teacher. I have taught elementary grades from 2nd- 4th grade, some reading and writing, but mainly math. In the last 4 years of my career I taught art. I am offering my expertise for tutoring because I love the one-on-one or small group experience that classroom teaching cannot always provide. I would like to help struggling students build up their art, math, reading and writing confidence. In my 14 years of elementary teaching experience I provided after-school tutoring aligned with the state curriculum. Students have diverse learning styles , so I would strive to find helpful techniques tailored to their individual needs. I also teach art and enjoy exploring all types of mediums. In my spare time, I work on my own art projects, swim twice a week and enjoy hiking. Let me know if you think I could help your student succeed. I can tutor at my house or a place of your choosing.
