I have had many years working as a senior care provider. Not wanting to renew my international certifications, I felt I would make a friendly, honest, considerate carer for someone. I have experience dealing with dementia, the elderly, and adults who just might need a little extra help around the house with light cooking, cleaning, laundry, personal care, medicines, outings, and so on. Within my years in the care industry, I have had over 8 years at a senior care role. This involved administering medications orally, changing Texas catheters, incontinence care, all aspects of personal care, light housekeeping and errands on occasion. Personally, I have taken care of my Father who had brain cancer, as well as a step daughter who had ovarian cancer. I also have experience with the elderly and dementia, as I was employed by the state of NY office of mental health for 7 years. This was dealing with all forms of mental health and dementia.
