As a registered nurse I have helped many people with special needs. I am very comfortable in assisting people with trachs, tube feedings, g-tubes, bladder incontinence, seizures, insulin administration. I also am uncomfortable around people that have a mental handicap as I am familiar with ADD, ADHD, Asperger's, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome. I am a very outgoing and patient person which I think is essential in giving the proper care these individuals need and deserve! These are always some of my favorite patients to get to work with in the hospital setting and I think it would be exciting to get to know them better in their home environment! I think this would be a very rewarding and exciting experience!
