As a Geriatric Care Manager, I am responsible for coordinating resources for and overseeing the care of my clients. Three years ago, I bought Ginger onboard to care for a eeyuifemale client with rapidly progressing dementia. From day one, Ginger cared for the client with love and dedication. Ginger not only assisted the client with the necessary activities of daily living, but also organized daily outings, gatherings with friends, and road trips …activities that kept the client socially engaged and positively stimulated. Ginger documented many of these activities with fun photos sent to the client’s out-of-town family, friends, and doctor. This led the doctor to say, “I wish all my patients had a Ginger.” Aside from Ginger’s impeccable care for her charge, Ginger was also entrusted to take charge of the household, managing housekeeper, gardener, paying routine bills, and arranging for needed repairs. This relieved family members from having to manage these things remotely. We will always be grateful for the devoted service Ginger provided.
