I have a 1 year golden retriever and have trained 7 dogs in leash, tricks and waiting behaviors such as learning not to jump up on others not pulling when on a walk and tricks such as sit, roll over and lay down, paw, place and stay. If you have a hyper puppy such as mine training during those hyper times can be amazing for their behavior and focusing on tasks/ a job you would like them to do.
