About Violet Shenandoah

Hi! I'm Violet. Growing up at a summer camp, I learned early on how much fun and responsibility comes with caring for children. I spent many years as a camp counselor at my parents camp (The Living Earth School), working with kids ranging from ages 2 to 13. I have also been a lifeguard and counselor at the Wintergreen camp this past summer. I love playing with kids and finding fun things to do outside. I have been babysitting the same families since before I was 13 but now the kids are all grown up! I have worked many different jobs before and my favorite job I always come back to is childcare. I had a nanny growing up during the summers so I know firsthand what makes a great one: someone reliable, kind, attentive, and genuinely engaged with the kids. I am a certified lifeguard and certified in CPR. I am doing online PVCCso I have plenty of time during the week.
