About Violet

Hello, my name is Violet and I am a graduate of St. John's College with around three years of childcare experience, mostly with ages 2-5. I also have about two years of experience working with high school aged students, and currently teach high school Calculus part-time. I am a warm, attentive and playful caregiver and teacher. Whatever we are doing, be it stacking blocks or differential equations, I want it to be a fun and engaging learning experience. My caregiving style includes: - modeling and expecting good manners - guiding child toward creative expression and appreciation for nature - dynamically staying in tune with the needs and growing capabilities of each child, to meet them at their level, wherever that may be. Overall, I have worked with children age 7 months through the age at which they no longer need a babysitter. This includes in-home childcare, a Waldorf school setting, tutoring, and I now also teach high school part-time.
