About Vida

I've been a caring step-parent for 14 years to a now 18-year-old and have loved witnessing and being involved in the unfolding lives of my friends' young children. I'm a former Licensed Massage Therapist with a unique capacity to be attuned to a child's energy and emotional needs. As a dancer and artist I appreciate opportunities to nurture kids' innate connection to their imaginations and creativity. I've been a nanny for 3 years now during which I've had the immense pleasure and wonderful learning opportunities of working with two different sets of twins. I find great joy in seeing the world through a child's sense of awe and wonder. *Please note: If you're interested in booking me for a one-time childcare arrangement, I appreciate getting enough notice that we're able to confirm and have direct contact to discuss details at least 24 hours in advance for my sense of safety and preparedness. Vida has cared for and loved my child since day one, and this love has manifested in artistic endeavors (she makes gorgeous mobiles in her free time) and gestures that show she actively listens to my daughter's interests and personal challenges. For children, Vida has a grounding presence. She encourages curiosity and artistic expression simply by being herself-Vida will enrich the experience of those around her with her infectious aesthetic and appreciation of nature's beauty. I know Vida to be trustworthy, consistent, sincere, and a thoughtful communicator. She has always had a strong work ethic, and it extends to any task she undertakes; Vida will not leave things half-done. This sort of commitment is an excellent example for children to be around, as it encourages independence and responsibility, and can surely be incorporated into time spent together.
