About Victor

My passion for caring for others began at a very young age. I was taken away from my parents and placed into foster care, where I experienced many different environments and circumstances that shaped the person I am today. Growing up, I lived in a home with siblings who had Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities. When I was adopted at 16, my life took another important turn. In 1999, I learned that my grandfather had Alzheimer's disease. When I first visited him in the nursing home, I noticed something that stayed with me. There were many elderly residents who appeared to have very few, if any, visitors. Some seemed lonely and simply wanted someone to talk to or spend time with them. I remember thinking that nobody should have to feel forgotten or alone.
