I started working with special needs while in high school. I was a teachers assistant. After high school, I worked as a live in nanny. And afterward a caregiver of my special needs father (after injury.) I trained as a CNA and HHA, and I when I did home care, I had several patients with varied needs, mostly teens, adults and seniors. I returned to nannying for special needs families. The range of needs was great, and I was able to be a help in each one. I had a premie baby with special needs, I did therapy with him. I've worked with young children and teens on the autism spectrum. I have a very special way of connecting with with children, especially ones with special needs.
