About Victoria

I am the oldest of seven children and began taking care of my other siblings from a young age. I have a bachelor's in Psychology and a Ph. D. in neuroscience and worked for many years at OHSU. All through graduate school I worked as a nanny for an autistic child and I also worked at a group home with IDD kids. For the past three years, I have been working at a residential care facility for adults with special needs. I stepped back from my neurophysiology job at OHSU because I was very burnt out. I have two children of my own (teens now) and one of them is neurodivergent. I began working at the RCF because I wanted to have more time with my own kids. I am patient, reliable, and have a great deal of experience with de-escalation and collaborative problem solving. I am comfortable helping with school work, all aspects of caregiving, and have experience with assistive communication devices, wheelchairs, and giving medications. I enjoy taking kids outside.
