About Victoria

Hi families. My name is Victoria. I am an experienced tutor and educator with dual Bachelor's degrees in Education and Liberal Arts, and I hold my SEI endorsement. I tutor in English, Spanish, and Mandarin. I have taught in special education classrooms, which allows me to design lessons that are accessible for diverse learners. I specialize in literacy development, explicit phonics instruction, reading fluency, comprehension, vocabulary growth, and structured writing for students from early elementary through high school English. I also tutor math, including number sense, foundational operations, fractions, decimals, ratios, and pre-algebra. I teach using step-by-step instruction and visual models to build strong understanding. In science and engineering, I use inquiry-based learning. Students ask questions, observe, test ideas, and form evidence-based conclusions in ways that feel hands-on and meaningful. My approach is rooted in support and high expectations.
