I have been a nanny for 21 years. My first job as a nanny led me to work for 6 years with the same family taking care of their 2 daughters. When I was first offered the job, I didn't know if I had what it would take to care for others full time. Now, I can't imagine doing anything else. I had no idea what a life-changing experience it would be. I've worked with five different families now, all with with wonderful results. The family I work for now, I worked with in Jacksonville Florida. When it was time for them to move to Arlington, Virginia ( military family ), they offered me a live in position. I said yes. What a lovely experience. Being so close to DC and in such close proximity to mountains & hiking trails. Pure bliss! I'm back home & the time has come to find a new family. The good-byes never get easier. But sad endings lead to happy beginnings. And thankfully, I love my job.

She has lovingly cared for my grandchildren for 5 years. She balances play, education, crafts, kindness, love of reading, the importance of problem solving with helpful solutions which come from conversations with the children in a positive light every day that she is with them. She takes them on wonderful excursions which cause delight and wonder. She has been such a positive role model with consistency and love. She values each child for the wonders they each bring in her life and in theirs.
