About Victoria

As a child, my mother had an in-home daycare so I am very familiar with childcare as well as care giving. I've worked within the special needs community for over 10 years, primarily with children (3-12 years) on the Autism spectrum. I had the opportunity to volunteer through AmeriCorp to work at an after school program for English language learners (K-6th) and I have a lot of experience providing play based behavior therapy as well as ABA therapy. Most recently, I have been teaching preschool music across the Bay Area, and virtually with Golden Acorn Music. I believe in positive discipline and play based learning through child led exploration which has led me to a beautiful parent co-op nursery school where I have been teaching the year before kindergarten for the past four years. The Bay Area has brought me a lot of wonderful opportunities but I'm ready to return to my hometown, Bakersfield, and am exploring nanny opportunities during this transition.
