About Victoria

I began working in geriatric care in 2021. I was trained on how to work with dementia patients. I also worked for the DDD/DES (the state of Arizona) as a caregiver in an ICF. They CPR/First Aid trained us and also trained us as Med Techs. At this job, I was able to learn under nurses, taking vitals, blood pressure, recording medical data, helping assist to medical and therapy appointments (driving wheelchair accessible vans). We would monitor the patients diet and meet with clinical nutritionists. Lastly, for 8 months, I worked with a woman who was wheelchair bound and required to use the pool 2-4 times a week to help with her neuropathy. I helped her get dressed, go grocery shopping, drove her to musical events downtown, and we spent quality time together (watching movies, going out to local restaurants). It was quite the gig.
