Experience: 10 yrs
For the past decade, I've dedicated myself to nurturing children's development and providing families with dependable care. My graduate degree, combined with Early Child Development coursework, has equipped me with a strong foundation. I'm patient, creative, and approachable, always eager to engage children through outdoor activities, art, music, educational activities like story telling with play trays. I'm comfortable caring for up to three children across various age groups, from infants to preteens. I also support families with cooking, crafts, travel, and swimming supervision. I am First Aid and CPR trained. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, I also have experience with special needs children. I always follow the parents' lead on household rules and preferred communication methods. Knowing I can positively impact a child's life brings me immense joy, and I look forward to the possibility of bringing that joy to your family.
Vicki has been a caregiver for my son since he was 4 months old (he is now 15 months). She has been an amazing addition to our family. Every day she is here, she always has age-appropriate activities planned for him. They go to a different library every day. When at home, she engages him in sensory play, reading, going outside etc. They work on crafts for family member’s birthdays or holidays etc. She knows that we do not approve of too much screen time, and she respects that boundary. She herself also limits her own phone use to important matters and only when he’s napping. During downtime, you can often find her reading child development books just because she loves it. Vicki is very clean, always picking up after my son and cleaning the dishes they use etc. She uses good judgment and safety. She’s very thoughtful about dressing him appropriately for activities and feeding/packing him healthy snacks and meals. She has respectful boundaries when she’s in our home and is very communicative with us; sending us pictures throughout the day and giving us an update before she leaves. Most importantly, she truly cares about my son and enjoys spending time with him. Oftentimes I’ll find a new book on his shelf or a new appropriate toy in the bin that she has clearly brought for him just out of the goodness of her heart. I would highly recommend Vicki as a caregiver!
