I had a licensed home daycare for 20 years while raising my children. Seven years ago I transitioned into Federal Way school District as a substitute para-educator. Soon after, I found my home in the Special education department. I have been working in a Functional core room in one of the middle schools in the district for the past 3 years. In the previous years, to my permanent staffing position, I worked in various functional core rooms from pre-school to adult transition room. For the past 2 years, I provided athletic support for some of our students to participate in general education sports. I am Triple R trained and re-certified every year. I am also licensed with Washington state as a home-care giver.
