About Vickie

I have been in practicing registered nurse for more than 30 years recently retired. I have pediatric experience although I prefer adult care. mainstream bedside nursing has changed so very much since I was originally trained. I am looking for a position providing part-time or full-time care that allows me a bit more autonomy and caring for my patients without the bureaucratic red tape. I experienced over the years a decline in prioritizing patient care versus documentation. I realize how vital documentation is to the nursing process but I found myself spending more time at the computer than at the bedside and I was terribly uncomfortable with this
