My skills include being compassionate and having patience. The ability to empathize with seniors and remain calm and kind even in challenging situations I feel is essential. This will allow me to build trust and improve quality of care. My next skill is communication. Clearly conveying instructions, listening actively, and understanding both verbal and non-verbal cues are critical in caring for seniors, especially those with cognitive or hearing impairments. My final skill is personal Care and safety knowledge. Assisting with activities of daily living (like bathing, dressing, medication reminders, mobility assistance) while ensuring the senior's safety and dignity is a core competency.
