About Velma

I have over 25-years experience in taking care of other families' loved ones. The last family I was with, I started taking care of the wife who had Parkinson's disease. She required help with mobility, toileting, bathing and medication. I helped her and her husband with everything including grocery shopping, running errands, traveling to family gathering and doctors' visits. At one point, I was living with them for 24 hours a day from Monday morning until Friday evening. If they had no one else for the weekend staff, I would just stay and help them out. I worked for the family from 2012 until present. The wife passed away in 2016 and the family asked me to stay for the dad, who just recently passed. Before that, I worked in daycare for many years. I was given an opportunity to work with special young adults, from 2005 until 2011 . I am trustworthy, dependable, a good cook, honest, compatible, loyal and devoted. I am very passionate about helping others in need.
