Experience: 10 yrs
Providing dedicated support to seniors and their families has been my professional focus for over a decade. I am driven by a deep passion for fostering independence and enhancing the daily well-being of those I serve. My approach is rooted in patience, empathy, and a detail-oriented mindset. I prioritize building genuine connections by learning each individual's personal history and unique preferences. I am highly skilled in navigating memory care challenges, including adapting to changing routines and managing behavioral shifts with calm, sensory-focused engagement. I hold CPR Training and First Aid Training certifications to ensure a safe environment. Whether I am assisting with meal preparation or light housekeeping, my goal is to provide reliable, compassionate care. I communicate through your preferred method to keep you fully informed. I truly look forward to bringing comfort and peace of mind to your family.
Velma took wonderful care of my 94 year old MIL in our home for around 2 years while my husband and I were at work. She was kind, considerate, professional and punctual. She always treated her with respect and patience. She would drive her to visit her sister, friends and to doctor appointments. She also helped us out sometimes on the weekends if we had somewhere to go. We highly recommend Velma.
