About Vashti

Hello! My name is Vashti and I am a certified Special Education and Elementary Education Teacher. Most recently I worked in a K-2 Public School but I have taught up to 5th grade! I have experience supporting a wide range of needs (ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Specific Learning Disabilities, etc) in various settings. I offer individualized tutoring in reading utilizing the Orton Gillingham Multi-Sensory approach and a play based model. OG has shown great results with the students I have worked with and is backed by the science of reading! Incorporating play and movement into the lessons helps the brain build the connections needed to become more confident readers. All kids deserve the opportunity to experience the joy of reading!
