About Vanessa

Hello, my name is Vanessa. I am CPR certified, First Aid certified, and certified through KCCTO's child health and safety course. I've been working with children for 5+ years, and spent over a year working at an official capacity in a Montessori school. I have copious experience with children aged between 3 months and 12 years. In my current position I am a nanny to 4 children ranging from 2 years to 8 years. The 2-year-olds I have cared for since they were 4 months old. I have held this position for almost two years. Three words to describe me are patient, fun, and flexible. Taking care of children is my passion, and I love watching them blossom and develop their skills. In childcare I take a gentle, Montessori based approach to dealing with big emotions and difficult behaviors. I put a lot of emphasis on building skills (motor and social) in a way that follows the child's innate desire to explore. I'd love the opportunity to work with your family!
