We hired Vanessa to watch our two kids: 5 y.o. son and 19 m.o. daughter. We all absolutely love her, and she quickly became part of our family. She is caring, nurturing, and mature for her age. When she started with us, we had just moved into a new house and our living situation had been in flux for about 4 months, so the kids were almost completely out of a routine and we all had to adjust to a new house and schedules. Vanessa was incredibly patient with us (Dad and Mom), and made sure she understood our parenting style and has helped us establish a good routine. Our lives have settled and the kids are so happy. She is working with my son on reading and writing, and she is teaching my daughter to count. Even my 4 y.o. nephew who comes over to play often calls her "Aunt Vanessa". I am working on a PhD, so unfortunately we couldn't pay her as much as she is worth, but we are so grateful to have her for the time we do. I know any families who hire her will be very pleased.
