About Vanessa

I'd describe my personality as caring, empathetic, and organized. I like working mainly with special needs kids because I am able to understand them, their emotions, and their needs. I'm looking for a job that allows me to help a family as well as use my strengths while earning money. I started working with special needs kids a few months ago and did well. In my spare time, I like to crochet, explore outside, play video games, and read. I like working with my hands and challenging myself with puzzles. Creativity and problem solving is one of my greatest strengths. One thing you should know about me is that I myself am neurodivergent. While this may mean I can't work with most children and people as well, it gives me a special advantage when it comes to other neurodivergent children. I have an understanding of what they are feeling and what can help. My skills include calming kids down, keeping them occupied with activities, and keeping their environment safe.
