My background consists of 4 years happily employed in a variety of caregiving positions, ranging from direct support professional for adults with IDD, to medication aide for seniors with late-stage dementia. (& plenty in between) I'm aware that navigating the ordinary tasks of day-to-day life while facing the challenges a disability may present isn't always glamorous or exciting. That's why fun and dignity are at the core of how I support the individuals in my care. I keep it lighthearted and easygoing-brushing off life's awkward moments and looking forward to the next good thing. Certified DSP2 with current CPR and First Aid, as well as a clean driving record. Trained in dementia assistance, diabetes management, behavioral support. Experience w/ bowel programs, catheter care. Some personal interests I bring to the table are music snobbery and a bit of culinary know-how. Big fan of playin tunes and experimenting in the kitchen!
