About Vanessa

Hi! I'm Vanessa, a caring, patient, and responsible babysitter who genuinely loves working with children. I'm a freshman in college majoring in Liberal Studies, with a goal of working in education. I have experience caring for children from newborns through elementary school age. I've helped care for newborns by feeding, changing diapers, putting them to sleep, and supporting milestones like learning to walk. I've also babysat children ages 5-6, helping with early literacy, colors, and language skills. Through Teacher Academy and Cross-Age P. E., I worked with first graders on reading, PE, and other activities. I also worked with ages 3-5 at a child development center, supporting language development, conflict resolution, and positive interactions. I'm bilingual in English & Spanish and have training in CPR, Stop the Bleed, Peer Mediation, and Mandated Reporting. My goal is to help every child feel safe, supported, confident, and encouraged to learn and grow while having fun!
