About Vanessa

Hi families! My name is Vanessa and I grew up outside of Chicago in Lisle. I majored in Criminal Justice at Indiana University and each summer while I was home I nannied for a family of 3 kids. With this family, I had the opportunity to learn how to care for a child with severe allergies. After I graduated I decided to go to Madrid for a year as an Au pair. I Au paired for 3 Spanish kids, 2 boys and 1 girl ages 6, 9 and 11. Caring for children with a language barrier present as well as a cultural difference was an experience that I will always be grateful for. Against my will, my visa expired and it was time to come back to Chicago. I found a job in sales for a company but I would love to spend a couple days a week babysitting. I hope I was able to give you a small sense of who I am but please feel free to reach out and ask me and questions that come to mind!
