About Val

I'm passionate about fostering children's growth and am a first-grade teacher during the school year. I have over 20 years of experience as a childcare provider and have a master's degree in reading, so I love to tutor and play educational games that promote learning. I also enjoy outdoor sports and physical games, as well as board games and puzzles. As a patient, calm, and friendly caregiver, I am very comfortable enforcing household rules and communicating with parents about their child's day or any issues that arise. I follow the parents' preferred communication method, and I'm always happy to provide verbal updates at pickup. I'm comfortable caring for up to three children, ages 0 to 12. I have a car, I'm comfortable with pets, and I don't smoke. I'm also willing to help with light housekeeping.
