About Valissa

Hi! My name is Valissa. I am in my 8th year as a certified teacher, I previously taught in preschool for two years, kindergarten for two years, two years in 5th grade, one year in 3rd grade and right now I am an Academic Intervention Specialist. I have professional development hours in helping students with behaviors, and attention spans get one-on-one help. I specialize in intervention strategies for students in reading, phonemes, phonics, and early mathematical skills as well as test prep for upper elementary and middle school ELA and math.
