About Valerie

My love for children began at an early age. At just 8 years old I got certified as a babysitter from the American Red Cross, where my employment began. I babysat for multiple families, with multiple children, that had multiple different needs. After years of babysitting, I became a staff member at the YMCA where I worked as a Kidzone Staff member, After School Leader, Summer Camp Leader, and a Special Needs Summer Camp Leader. Then I was given the wonderful opportunity to become the Assistant Camp Director at the YMCA. Since then I have obtained multiple degrees and have successfully held multiple teaching and administration opportunities. Through all of this I have aquired muliple certifications including SIDS sleep training, CPR, First Aid, AED, and even a food hamdlers permit. I have also been through hours of trainging and have an up to date Professional Development ladder through CECPD.
