About Valerie

Hi! My name is Val, and I am a 20-year-old nursing major with a love for child and pet-care. I began volunteering as a teacher's aide at 11 years old and spent the next 8 years working in a variety of classroom settings. That experience helped me develop a patient, attentive, and nurturing approach, prioritizing a safe and engaging environment, traits which I find to be equally valuable in pet-care. I have regularly pet-sat for neighbors, friends, and family for weeks at a time, keeping their pets active & safe. I have experience with both cats and dogs, including work with nonprofit organizations where I scheduled feedings, cleaned up accidents, socialized shyer personalities, helped prepare pups for adoption, and made sure they all were stimulated and comfortable. I have reliable transportation and will thoroughly enjoy any given opportunity to spend time with fur-babies! I am extremely accommodating and flexible, and can work around any last-minute plans or predicaments.
