About Valerie

I started out as a homeschool teacher and switched to teaching at a local school for elementary, middle, and high school. I hope to teach/tutor and work as mom/dad's helper with the kids. Should the family desire meal prep, I'd hope for a little autonomy in creating a menu. For example, for dinner, my daughter is fed a protein, a side- rice, potatoes, etc,- and two veggies for dinner. I'm not big on feeding kiddos too much junk such as fruit roll ups, Doritos, capri suns, etc. I prefer healthier options such as cheese, pretzels, and grapes. Candy is nice sometimes. I believe in keeping the home tidy and children cleaning up behind themselves unless they're a baby, of course. For example, if the kiddos take their shoes off, I'd expect them to be put in their rightful place instead of thrown in the middle of the floor. One of the best ways to enjoy life is by treating others right; finding something to smile/life about; spending time doing something you love.
