About Valerie

Caring for children is truly rewarding! My passion grew from a desire to positively impact young lives. For years, I worked at a youth nature camp as a resident chef and cooking instructor, fostering creativity and enthusiasm for healthy living. I also have tutored children at a local homeless shelter. With 16 years of experience, I'm comfortable caring for up to 10 children. I'm patient, creative, and friendly. I grew up with two sisters who had life-threatening food allergies, so I am very informed about Epi-pens and allergy action plans. I can happily assist with cooking, light housekeeping, travel, crafts, and swimming supervision. I love playing outdoor games, board games, and educational games. I follow the parents' lead on rules and preferred communication methods. I look forward to bringing my calm energy and experience to your family!
