About Valerie

I'd describe my personality as loving caring vigilant I like working with seniors because at this stage in their life they really need compassionate care. I'm looking for a job that I can best use my skills & provide the necessary support/care for their loved ones. I started working with seniors as a young nursing student in my 20's. In my spare time, I like to stay active by working out, staying fit & healthy. I love out door activities. One thing you should know about me is I am a retired registered nurse, an empty nester, a mother of 2 children & grandmother of 3 grandchildren. I have been married for 38 years. My skills include Certified in the American Red Cross CPR & First aid I teach a Parkinson's Movement class at a local gym. My past jobs as a registered nurse have been in the med surg, neurology, urology, well baby nursery & same day surgery areas. I presently substitute teach all grades & even special needs classes in the St Tammany school system.
