About Valerie

Hello, my name is Valerie, and I am seeking a part-time caregiving position. I have a medical background that includes clinical experience in a nursing home and 2 years as a patient care technician in a hospital setting. Very comfortable providing senior care and assisting with a variety of needs. I also have personal experience caring for my 90-year-old grandmother. I have provided full care for a neighbor during her hospice transition, including early-stage dementia support, and most recently cared for a loved one during cancer treatment. I believe strongly in providing compassionate, dignified care and understand how important trust and patience are during times of change. Safety is always my priority. My skills include medication management, assistance with activities of daily living, light exercise as tolerated, and engaging in meaningful activities while maintaining familiar routines.
