About Valeria

Hello, my name is Valeria. I am a behavioral specialist and care manager supporting youth and adults who suffer with mental health. I support them with building positive grounding techniques, redirection strategies and coping skills. I also utilize art, games and journaling during our time together. I also have over 4 years of experience as a supervisor and coach for an after-school enrichment program where I've supported children through homework assistance, sports, and creative art activities. Growing up in a large family has also given me hands-on experience caring for babies and toddlers, helping me develop patience, warmth, and a natural understanding of early childhood needs. I am bilingual in English and Spanish, and I love incorporating Spanish into play and learning, especially with toddlers, to encourage early language development in a fun, engaging way. My goal is to create a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment where every child feels supported, happy, and confident.
