Hello! My name is Valentina, I am 25 and a UCLA graduate with my B. A in Public Affairs and with over eight years of experience working with children. Some of my experience includes work at an educational non profit (Reading Partners) providing tutoring to elementary school students who are behind in reading and writing. Prior to this, I was a garden teacher within the Oakland Unified and Contra Costa Unified School Districts. I have a Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification. Currently, I'm a student at UW working towards my masters in speech language pathology. I enjoy creating hands-on activities and games to empower kids to get outside and explore the natural world around them! If you have a garden, I'm more than happy to help out in the garden and teach the kids how to as well.
