Ursula has been incredible with our 10 month old daughter and we are grateful we found her. When Ursula is with us, I know my daughter is safe, having fun, and learning. Ursula not only provides excellent childcare but also want to help in any way she can. She has helped make food for my daughter and extra to create a freezer supply (we do baby led weaning), has meal prepped for my husband and I, done household laundry, household dishes, run errands (with our extra car), and anything else that could help make our life easier. She has been working with us for 3 months and we hope to have her with us long term. In response to the last review, she is punctual and her wage is appropriate for how much work she does and what she brings to the family. If you want a top tier childcare provider, Ursula is it. 

Ursula is upbeat and keeps the kids occupied without screen time. Taught them Portuguese. Willing to help out around the house when kids are napping. Flexible when she could be. Issues we had and why we parted ways. During interview work time and pay was agreed-upon. Asked for increase in pay only after two months. Late EVERY day almost 5 to 10 minutes and one day 45 minutes. Seems confused on life and direction which was affecting our working relationship. Decided not a good fit and let her go.

Ursula was AMAZING for our 2 kids this summer! She is high-energy, attentive, intuitive, and adopts device-free childcare that was exactly what we were looking for. 

We booked Ursula for weekly date nights, and felt completely confident in her expertise. She empowers kids to do things for themselves! Each time we returned home, the kids were sleeping soundly after evenings without issue. She taught our kids to play hide and seek (even though they're terrible at it lol) and other games that got them away from all electronic screens. She's super easy with communication before, during, and after your booking. We will definitely be using Ursula again in the future!

We are so fortunate to have Ursula be such an integral part of our family. From our interview, I knew Ursula would be thoughtful, kind, and attentive to our children. But the extent to which she engages and really tunes in to each child is beyond my expectations. It is so clear that she truly pays attention to the needs, personality, and interests of each child and creates imaginative activities to stimulate them. Our 5-year-old, a tough judge of character, declared that she loved Ursula after the first day. And our 3-year-old was equally sold. It's common that we come home to a new castle made of cardboard boxes or a book they have all co-created. Ursula is interested in engaging in play as well as education. (We never dreamed that our barely 3-year-old would learn to write her name and other words in just a few short months with Ursula.) Ursula is also more than willing to be a part of the household, picking up chores of cleaning, organizing and laundry without being asked.

Ursula was my son's nanny from when he was 2-8 months. She is smart, fun, patient, loving and very positive. Plus, she shows so much initiative! My son is our first baby so everything was new to me, and Ursula was a true partner in bringing him up. For example, when it came time to sleep train him, I was very nervous and almost paid thousands of $ for a sleep training specialist. Instead, Ursula did her own research and spoke to professionals she knew and she came up with a complete sleep training plan that I comfortable with. Within a week my son was sleeping through the night! When it came time to start solid food, Ursula not only made purees, but she researched age appropriate recipes for him as well. When she saw the car seat was dirty, she looked up online how to clean it. Someone like this is hard to find! She is great with pets and is happy to clean and organize the house, do laundry and run errands. Ursula has also watched our baby overnight on her own and house-sat for us.

Ursula has cared for my 9 month old son and 2.5 year old daughter. She is caring, playful, responsible and great with kids. She is professional and prompt to communicate with. My kids took to her instantly. She is wonderful at playing with and teaching my daughter new songs and games and she is very sweet and caring with my son. On top of everything she does with them, she always is mindful of mess and helps out around the house as much as she can. Definitely would recommend her. She is a natural with children!

We hired Ursula in September 2018 as a mothers helper / nanny to help with our newborn and an energetic 2.5 year old boy. Hiring Ursula was the best decision we could have made. After showing her the ropes in one day, Ursula quickly hit the ground running and whipped our house into shape in no time. Ursula is able to manage keeping the house cleaned and organized while taking excellent care of both my children. She takes a lot of time to read and sing to my kids, feed them, bathe them, take my son on fun outings , come up with fun art projects, help with meal prep, run errands and a whole lot more. She takes care of my kids as if they were her own. She potty trained our son in just a few short weeks and was always available to work extra hours on weekends for date nights. Ursula comes to work with a positive cheery attitude daily and is extremely adaptable and will do the job the way you want it done. She is very respectful and loving and is very easy to get along with and communicate.

I have hired Ursula for few hours during a business travel in Berkeley. Among 20+ potential candidates, Ursula was the one who sent me the most enthusiastic reply and came right away (on time). I enjoyed very much the way she interacted with my babies, they sang songs, drew, read ... she made them laugh and kept them truly engaged. She fed them very well before putting them to bed. When my babies woke up they kept asking where their new auntie went. To me this is a key measure of the joy they had playing with Ursula. I am sure she will be a wonderful nanny to any family.

I've been working with Ursula for a few months and she's never disappointed. She's on-time, conscientious, and professional. Importantly, my girls love her. She is fun and entertaining. Ursula has worked as a mother?s assistant/nanny for my family since mid May. We have two children an 8 and a 4 year old. We have only good things to say about our experience with her. She is punctual, dependable, honest, good humored and a hard worker.  She picks up the kids, gets them to their after school activities, does light grocery shopping, light housework and light laundry. She prepares healthy snacks, kids dinner and school lunches. She keeps the kitchen area clean and puts the children's stuff away at the end of the day. Her communication skills are great and she is very open to feedback. She picked up on our family routines very quickly and eagerly tries to be consistent with your likes and dislikes. Most importantly, my kids like and respect her; she is always loving, kind and humorous with them. She gives them encouragement, empathy and hugs when they need it, but is also firm and consistent with them. We highly recommend her.

I am thrilled to have Ursula care for my 8 year old child. She is loving, responsible, fun and completely professional. I can count on her for making sure my child has what he needs and is enjoying his time with her. And added bonus is that somehow Ursula will tidy at the house without taking her attention off my son. She is responsive to all of my requests and my son adores her. At the end of her first day, she already felt like a family member. We are so lucky!
