About Uheina

My name is Uheina (pronounced ooh-hey-na), and I have over 15 years of healthcare experience, beginning as a caregiver in high school. I later earned my CNA and HHA certifications to strengthen my clinical skills and continue growing in the healthcare field. My background includes acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, home health, hospice, rehabilitation centers, specialty clinics, behavioral health, and care for individuals with special needs. I have supported patients with developmental and intellectual disabilities as well as mental health challenges, using patience, strong communication, de-escalation, and person-centered care. I also worked as a Mobility Tech, specializing in safe patient handling and mobility while training staff during annual competencies. This role strengthened my commitment to patient safety, teamwork, and compassionate care. I am passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of the individuals and families I serve.
