About Tyler

Empowering students to move beyond rote memorization is the foundation of my teaching practice. With three years of experience supporting elementary and middle school students in Math, English, Science, and History, I focus on fostering critical thinking and genuine curiosity. I adapt my methods to your unique learning style by observing how you engage with new material, whether through visual aids, hands-on activities, or collaborative discussion. When concepts feel overwhelming, I break them into manageable steps and connect them to your personal interests to build momentum. I believe clear communication with families is essential for building the trust needed to achieve academic goals. Witnessing that "aha!" moment when a student masters a difficult skill is the most rewarding part of my work. I look forward to helping you grow, succeed, and find joy in your learning journey.
