About Twyla

I have been a Practical Nurse for 29 years, with an extensive background in dementia care, both as a health care provider and with personal family members experiencing this life altering disease. I have 13 years of mental health experience, 2 years of hospice and palliative care, and 2 years of rehabilitation care. BLS/CPR certified. I'd describe my personality as kind, caring, attentive, and patient. I like caring for seniors because I've always been drawn to their character and wisdom. I'm looking for a job that gives me the opportunity to extend my heart, and help to others. I started caring for seniors as a child. Spending time with my granny. I like to read, crochet, and cross stitch. I care for my patients as if they are family. My skills include patience, understanding, and the ability not to take things (sundowner moments) to heart.
