I have 28 yrs of experience caring for elderly people. I have experience with Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson's Disease, dementia. I started out in assisted living facilities and then eventually went into memory care. I worked in those facilities for 14yrs before I decided to go into home health care, which I have been doing now for 14yrs as well. It was the best decision I have made, I love working with seniors and I am very passionate about my job. I am currently working for a home health company, but have extra time on my hands as I'm not getting enough hours through them. I have had experience with catheters, incontinence, ambulation, immobility, transfers, rom, feeding, medication needs, diabetes, taking vitals, bathing, oral care, daily living cares etc. I also do some housekeeping, light cooking, laundry etc.
