About Tracy

I have a strong background in education and language and I am passionate about healthy development at all ages and abilities. Spending quality time in natural environments whenever possible is especially important, and I am a huge advocate for outdoor time every day, regardless of the weather. Favorite quote: there's no such thing as bad weather - only the wrong clothes! I really resonate with Montessori educational philosophies that strike a holistic balance between child-centered and collaborative. I believe that, through enriching environments and gentle guidance from positive role models, children construct strong personal identities and an understanding of the world around them. I began working with children as an au pair in France in 2010. From there, I went on to work primarily in-home as a nanny and 1:1 special needs aide, but I do also have preschool and afterschool program experience. Most positions were paid, while some were internships and volunteer opportunities.
