About Towanda

To a family considering hiring Towanda: I am so glad to write this letter to highly recommend Towanda to any family that is looking for an excellent caregiver for their elders. Towanda worked for our family from November 2022 until April 2025. She took care of both of my parents, as a home health aide and household helper. A Florida resident, Towanda started to work with my parents when they went to Florida for their annual winter stay in November 2022, working daytime supporting their needs. In April 2023, when they were returning to NY for the summer and my father's care needs were increasing, Towanda offered to go with them to NY and work as a live-in. She took care of my father doing 24/7 nursing tasks, ADL support, household tasks, errands, meal preparation and companion care. She was a fantastic support to our family for these past three years. Towanda is an excellent caregiver. She is extremely careful with medications, performs outstanding care for a patient's medical needs, and she is really strong, so she can very securely help a patient with transporting, transferring and bathing when they can’t support themselves. She keeps everything around the patient and in the home extremely clean and organized. She prepares great meals and is smart and efficient with all household tasks and consistently showed attention to detail. She is a pleasant conversational companion, is friendly and lighthearted, sensitive and warm - just a lovely person to be around - for both my quiet father and extroverted mother. Towanda is extremely honest and goes out of her way to make sure that if she is managing something financial for a patient, she saves receipts so that one can completely trust her. Towanda always presents herself professionally and communicates well. Towanda is good at following instructions, but also is proactive when she sees a need, taking initiative to solve problems and plan for needs before we as family might have thought of them. She has an excellent work ethic. Towanda is extremely devoted to whatever family she works for, and flexes her time when emergencies arise. She was always available when we needed her help, and would sometimes even change her personal plans to be sure my father’s care was covered. And, we don’t take for granted that she was willing to move to NY in order to stay with my father in his last year. She is dedicated, and was always there reliably when she was caring for my parents and her support was needed. Your family will love Towanda. She is outstanding and has our highest recommendation.
