Hi there! My name is Tovia, co-founder Family Education & Support center. I have a master's degree in early childhood education with 25 years' experience. I am a certified Doula, parent and childbirth educator and currently completing a certification in play therapy. My life as an Early Childhood Educator started in 2000 with the opening of my first family childcare home. I relocated to Maryland in 2010 closing my home-based business, transitioning to the classroom as a Head Start teacher. I returned to Philadelphia in 2023 where I currently provide shared nanny service for two families in my home. Like the late Maria Montessori, I believe that children learn through play and that play time is never wasted time. Children need to move and touch things in their environment and should be allowed to be free to develop within safe limits.
