My name is Torin and I have been a nanny since 2021, when I transitioned from working in a preschool classroom at a German immersion school. My daughter (born May 2025) and I are currently looking for a long term position, ideally with a friend around her age to grow and play with. I have always loved working with kids, from my first babysitting job at the age of 11, to designing an outdoor summer camp at a local farm. I'm confident and kind, no-nonsense but still fun. I enjoy connecting with each child as an individual and nurturing their unique development. I grew up in Portland, OR and went to Reed College, where I majored in Mathematics. I love playing with numbers and doing puzzles, enjoy singing and playing guitar, and like any and all games! I also enjoy getting outdoors for hiking and camping, and would love taking the kids on outdoor adventures. Torin was a nanny for my toddler while our regular nanny was traveling to visit family. She is amazing. She did lots of great activities with our son and had some great suggestions as well. My son was teething badly at the time and she handled it really well. She was also really good about making sure my son had sunscreen on when playing outside and getting a bath in to clean it off at the end of the day. Thanks again Torin!
