Tonja was my daughter's nanny from 3 months until 3 YEARS old, so if you don't see many recent reviews- that's why. Tonja started as our nanny and ultimately agreed to try a nanny share with our family and our friend's family beginning when our kids were 5 months and 7 months old and lasting for more than 2 years. Needless to say, she is part of both our families at this point, and the kids stilll run to hug her first when she comes to birthdays/etc. I stand in awe of her patience and compassion because the kids definitely didn't make it easy on many occasions (everyone is teething, no one is napping, everyone is tantruming). She was not only reliable and communicative but also durable. There were many times when everyone was sick, and she still showed up and worked. Many of my friends also tried nannies and regularly had trouble with reliability and communication, and I simply couldn't relate. Tonja embodies what a great nanny should be, and if you hire her, you are lucky.

It is with a mix of gratitude and sadness that I write this recommendation for Tonja, who has been a part of our family for the past three years. Our close friends first hired Tonja to care for their daughter, who is two months older than our girls, three days a week. After seeing how wonderful Tonja was with their daughter, our friend approached her to see if she would be open to adding our twin girls to the mix, with the addition of two days dedicated solely to them. Much to my surprise, Tonja agreed to give it a shot — and we are so thankful that she did.

Tonja’s impact on our family cannot be overstated. She has been instrumental in helping our daughters not only meet, but exceed every milestone. Whether it was managing the challenges of naps, supporting them through their big feelings, or guiding them as they learned new skills, Tonja’s patience and expertise were invaluable. Her caring nature and consistency in providing a loving, structured environment have shaped our daughters into the wonderful little people they are becoming.

The bond Tonja has built with our girls is so special — they adore her, and it is clear that she loves them like they are her own. It takes a truly exceptional person to care for and support three young children through all the highs and lows of early childhood, and Tonja has done so with grace, warmth, and unwavering dedication. I will forever be grateful for the way she has cared for our daughters, and the peace of mind she has given us as parents.

As our girls prepare to start preschool in the fall, this bittersweet goodbye is approaching, and it is hard to imagine our days without Tonja’s presence. I can honestly say that she has been an irreplaceable part of our family. If you are seeking someone who is dependable, hardworking, caring, and kind, look no further. Tonja is a true gem, and I wholeheartedly recommend her without hesitation.

Tonja is an absolute lifesaver!  She's reliable, punctual, and genuinely cares about my children.  She doesn't just sit, she engages with them – playing games, reading stories, and even helping with simple activities.  Finding a babysitter like her is rare, and we were so fortunate to have her for 3 years. Your family would be lucky to have her as part of yours.

We hired tonja as a nanny for our 3 month old, and we feel so lucky to have found her. She asked helpful questions up front to get to know us and our child and understand our priorities. She executes your desired wishes (e.g. cloth diapering, EC, chores) and always communicates in the event that she needs to deviate from the expected or wants to try something new. She volunteers to take on additional responsibilities above and beyond what you initially asked because her mantra is to provide service as she'd hope to receive it. As a new mom, I have also really appreciated learning the tips and tricks she's acquired over the years (though she never makes me feel like I'm inadequate). She knows milestones and has taught our daughter new skills (e.g. propping herself during tummy time). At first, I didn't even realize that our daughter was learning these from Tonja until I saw them practicing. Lastly, she bonded with our daughter quickly and has been so patient- even on cranky baby days.

Very communicative and was understanding and flexible when our original time fell through. Came early to do a small introduction and a feel of the kids. This was the first time me and my husband ever used a sitter and she made us feel very at ease and comfortable leaving our babies with her. Will be hiring her again!

Tonja was truly a lifesaver for my family, she started babysitting for us over a year ago and she has been nothing but amazing. She is punctual, very engaged with my three babies, and is very flexible as I am in the restaurant industry and my hours are not consistent at all. She is also very patient with my autistic son - he is non verbal but she was great at picking up on his ques and he absolutely adores her. The only reason I am not continuing to use her is because we are moving out of the area and at this point I wish I could just pack her up with us!!

Tonja is wonderful! She is very dependable and flexible. My kids always have a great time when she comes. She is also very attentive to the kids and their needs.

Tonja is such a sweet lady. She was able to be so flexible for our family and our needs. She even sacrificed her personal time to come meet with our family for a last minute interview. She is amazing with our kids and she understands each of their individual needs. She entertains our kids from the moment she arrives until she steps foot out of our door. In the short time we've gotten to know Tonja the kids always look forward to hanging out with her and I'm always at ease knowing my kids are always in safe hands while I'm out of the house.

Shes  Very good with kids with special needs and a very  passionate and nurturing. And caring person.

Tonja is a wonderful person  that is willing to help in any way she can. She has helped with my children many times. She is very good with  special needs children. She has picked my children up from school, taken them to the park, and they never give her any trouble. They love her!! I trust her with the most important part of my life! Tonja is amazing!
